Why I’m Running
Wanhua has waited long enough. Our historic neighborhoods deserve energetic, accountable leadership.
I’m Chen Li-Shin. I grew up in Wanhua, then studied and worked in the United States and Japan and built businesses across borders. Those years showed me how older neighborhoods can protect their character while making everyday life work better.

Taipei’s Fifth Electoral District—Zhongzheng and Wanhua—will be one of the most closely contested city council races in the 2026 local elections. Chen Li-Shin is entering as a first-time independent, asking voters to choose accountable local work over party machinery.

Taipei’s Fifth Electoral District covers Zhongzheng and Wanhua. Registration in these districts alone does not establish eligibility. Voters must be ROC nationals aged 20 or older and meet residency and electoral-roll requirements. The general residency period is four continuous months; where an administrative area is divided into constituencies, residency is counted within that administrative area, with restrictions on moves after the election announcement. Age and residency are generally calculated through the day before polling. Confirm your status with the household registration office or election commission.

Being new to politics is a strength when it comes with relevant experience and clear accountability. I have led an international business and completed an NCCU EMBA. My proposals are specific, and my commitments are public. Change only begins when someone is willing to go first.
Independence lets me work across party lines and answer to residents instead of a faction. City council needs people who judge each issue on its merits and put Zhongzheng and Wanhua first.
I have made a public commitment to run a lean campaign without accepting political donations. Any person soliciting money in my name is committing fraud. Please verify through our official channels.
